Wolf Creek specializes in attachment disorders and other serious relational and self-destructive behavioral difficulties in boys and girls. Our staff is highly qualified and trained to deal with and treat various psychological disorders that many other boarding schools that call themselves “therapeutic” are not equipped to handle.
We are a faith-based program emphasizing integrity, character, and accountability. Each of the teens who attend our program can become productive members of society when given guidance and a chance to reach their potential.
Wolf Creek Academy provides a loving home environment for teen boys and girls who lack direction. Residents live in a comfortable home run by a husband and wife team of houseparents and residential assistants. In our family model, boys and girls help with daily chores common to home life and discover how to respect authority and get along with their peers.
Parent involvement is crucial to the success of our therapeutic boarding school program.
Parents stay informed with weekly verbal and email reports and play a role in the progress of their child.
For the teen, every day starts with small group counseling sessions covering anger management, respect for authority, and a lot of other topics relevant to teens. Weekly individual sessions help teens make progress toward their behavioral goals. Our program also includes a substance abuse program to manage issues related to drug and alcohol use and other addictive behaviors including eating disorders or cutting.
Our accredited school lets students succeed at their own pace.
Using our fully accredited Christian curriculum, students can catch up in their education and work successfully at their own pace. Teachers and assistants monitor progress through the workbooks and help students who can use extra assistance with their work. Credits transfer easily to other schools, and those who complete the curriculum earn a high school diploma. Our new skills development center offers a skilled trade along with vital skills for the manufacturing environment including welding skills, shop safety, work ethic for first time employees, and other disciplines.
