Wolf Creek specializes in attachment disorders and other serious relational and self-destructive behavioral difficulties in boys and girls. Our staff is highly qualified and trained to deal with and treat various psychological disorders that many other boarding schools that call themselves “therapeutic” are not equipped to handle.
We are a faith-based program devoted to integrity, character, and personal responsibility. Each of the teens who attend our program can grow into productive members of society when given guidance and the opportunity to reach their potential.
Wolf Creek Academy offers a protective home environment for teen boys and girls who have gone off course. Residents live in a comfortable home with a husband and wife team of houseparents and residential assistants. In our family model, teenagers assist with daily chores common to home life and learn to respect authority and cooperate with their peers.
Parent involvement is critical to the success of our therapeutic boarding school program.
Parents stay up to date with weekly verbal and email reports and remain involved in progress of their boy or girl.
For the teen, every day commences with small group counseling sessions related to anger management, respect for authority, and lots of other topics of importance to teens. Weekly individual sessions help residents make progress toward their therapeutic goals. Our program also includes a substance abuse program to handle issues related to drug and alcohol use or other addictive behaviors like eating disorders or cutting.
Our accredited school lets students achieve at their own pace.
Under our fully accredited Christian curriculum, students can complete missing credits in their education and work successfully at their very own speed. Teachers and assistants monitor progress through the courses and help students who require extra assistance with their work. Credits transfer easily to other schools, and those who complete the curriculum earn a high school diploma. Our recently added skills development center offers a skilled trade along with vital skills for any manufacturing environment including welding skills, shop safety, work ethic for first time employees, and other disciplines.
To help keep teens physically active we run daily PE classes including many different sports and seasonal outdoor adventure activities, including hiking (the Appalacian Trail is nearby) and skiing. Weekly social activities also vary and include bowling, movies, church, visiting museums and much more.
