Found in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina, Wolf Creek Academy serves teenage girls and boys on different parts of its campus who have a history of behavior difficulties, broken family relationships, and other emotional issues.
Wolf Creek specializes in attachment disorders and other serious relational and self-destructive behavioral difficulties in boys and girls. Our staff is highly qualified and trained to deal with and treat various psychological disorders that many other boarding schools that call themselves “therapeutic” are not equipped to handle.
We are a faith-based program focused on integrity, character, and accountability. All the teens who attend our program can learn to be productive individuals when given guidance and the opportunity to reach their potential.
Wolf Creek Academy gives a protective home environment for teen boys and girls who have lost their way. Residents live in a comfortable home with a married couple team of houseparents and residential assistants. In this family model, boys and girls participate in daily chores typical of home life and learn how to respect authority and relate well with their peers.
Parent involvement is crucial to the success of our therapeutic boarding school program.
Parents stay up to date with weekly verbal and email reports and remain involved in progress of their son or daughter.
For the teen, every day commences with small group counseling sessions about anger management, respect for authority, and a lot of other topics highly relevant to teens. Weekly individual sessions help residents make progress toward their behavioral goals. In addition, we have a substance abuse program to manage issues related to drug abuse and other addictive behaviors like eating disorders or cutting.
Our accredited school lets students achieve at their own pace.
Under our fully accredited Christian curriculum, students can catch up in their education and work successfully at their very own speed. Teachers and assistants monitor progress through the courses and help students who require extra input for their work. Credits transfer easily to other schools, and those who complete the curriculum earn a high school diploma. Our new skills development center offers a skilled trade as well as vital skills for the manufacturing environment including welding skills, shop safety, work ethic for first time employees, along with other disciplines.
To keep teens physically active we run daily PE classes including various sports and seasonal outdoor adventure activities, including hiking (the Appalacian Trail is nearby) and skiing. Every week, social activities also vary and may include bowling, movies, church, visiting museums and much more.

Newtown is a borough in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,248 at the 2010 census. It is located just west of the Trenton, New Jersey metropolitan area, and is part of the larger Philadelphia metropolitan area. It is entirely surrounded by Newtown Township, from which it separated in 1838. State Street is the main commercial thoroughfare with wide sidewalks, shops, taverns, and restaurants. In September 2011, Yahoo! Travel ranked Newtown Borough seventh in their annual 10 Coolest Small Towns in America list, despite incorrectly claiming that Newtown is part of “Amish Country”. While there are very small pockets of Amish communities in Bucks County, this is much more characteristic of Central Pennsylvania, a considerably more rural area than suburban Lower Bucks.
