Keeping Parents Involved in the Program for Restoration for the Entire Family
Parent involvement is important to the effectiveness of our therapeutic boarding school program. Parents stay informed with weekly verbal and email reports and remain involved in progress of their son or daughter.
For the teen, each day starts with small group counseling sessions related to anger management, respect for authority, and several other topics highly relevant to teens. Weekly individual sessions help teens make progress toward their therapeutic goals. Our program also includes a substance abuse program to handle issues related to drug abuse or other addictive behaviors such as eating disorders or cutting.
Accredited School Lets Students Find Success at Their Own Pace
Using our fully accredited Christian curriculum, students can complete missing credits in their education and work successfully at their unique rate. Teachers and assistants monitor progress through the workbooks and help students who can use extra help with their work. Credits transfer easily to public and private schools, and those who complete the curriculum earn a high school diploma. Our recently added skills development center offers a skilled trade along with vital skills for a manufacturing environment including welding skills, shop safety, work ethic for new employees, along with other disciplines.
To keep teens physically active we conduct daily PE classes including many different sports and seasonal outdoor adventure activities, including hiking (the Appalacian Trail is nearby) and skiing. Weekly social activities also vary and include bowling, movies, church, visiting museums plus more.
