Helping Teens Reach their Full Potential
Perfectly situated in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina, Wolf Creek Academy serves teenage girls and boys on different parts of its campus who have a record of behavior difficulties, broken family relationships, or any other emotional problems. We are a faith-based program emphasizing integrity, character, and accountability. All of the teens who attend our program can grow into productive members of society when given guidance and a chance to reach their potential.
Wolf Creek Academy provides a nurturing home environment for teen boys and girls who have lost their way. Residents live in a comfortable home with a married couple team of houseparents and assistants. Within our family model, boys and girls assist with daily chores normal for home life and learn to respect authority and cooperate with their peers.
For the teen, each day starts off with small group counseling sessions related to anger management, respect for authority, and a lot of other topics highly relevant to teens. Weekly individual sessions help teens make progress toward their counseling goals. In addition, we have a substance abuse program to deal with issues related to drug and alcohol use or any other addictive behaviors including eating disorders or cutting.
The Wolf Creek Accredited School Lets Students Achieve at Their Own Pace
In our fully accredited Christian curriculum, students can fill in gaps in their education and work successfully at their unique speed. Teachers and assistants monitor progress through the material and help students who need extra assistance with their work. Credits transfer easily to public and private schools, and graduates earn a high school diploma. Our new skills development center instructs students in a skilled trade along with vital skills for any manufacturing environment including welding skills, shop safety, work ethic for new employees, along with other disciplines.
To help keep teens physically active we conduct daily PE classes including a number of sports and seasonal outdoor adventure activities, including hiking (the Appalacian Trail is nearby) and skiing. Every week, social activities also vary and include bowling, movies, church, visiting museums and much more.
Wolf Creek Academy wants your teenager to grow into all that he or she can be. We provide a loving, home-like environment with professional counseling to show teens how to get back on track. Though we are not situated in Arizona , the North Carolina mountains give a beautiful setting for restoration and growth.
