Helping Teens Reach their Full Potential
Found in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina, Wolf Creek Academy serves teenage boys and girls on different parts of its campus who have a record of behavior difficulties, damaged family relationships, or any other emotional problems. We are a faith-based program devoted to integrity, character, and accountability. All the teens who attend our program can be productive individuals when given guidance and the opportunity to reach their potential.
Wolf Creek Academy sets up a loving home environment for teen boys and girls who have lost their way. Residents live in a comfortable home with a married couple team of houseparents and assistants. Within our family model, girls and boys assist with daily chores typical of home life and discover how to respect authority and interact with their peers.
For the teen, each morning commences with small group counseling sessions about anger management, respect for authority, and lots of other topics of importance to teens. Weekly individual sessions help residents make progress toward their therapeutic goals. Our program also includes a substance abuse program to cope with issues related to drug use or any other addictive behaviors such as eating disorders or cutting.
The Wolf Creek Accredited School Lets Students Achieve at Their Own Pace
In our fully accredited Christian curriculum, students can catch up in their education and work successfully at their particular pace. Teachers and assistants monitor progress through the courses and help students who need extra assistance with their work. Credits transfer easily to public and private schools, and those who complete the curriculum earn a high school diploma. Our new skills development center offers a skilled trade as well as vital skills for any manufacturing environment including welding skills, shop safety, work ethic for first time employees, as well as other disciplines.
To help keep teens physically active we conduct daily PE classes including a variety of sports and seasonal outdoor adventure activities, including hiking (the Appalacian Trail is nearby) and skiing. Every week, social activities also vary and can include bowling, movies, church, visiting museums plus more.
Wolf Creek Academy wants your son or daughter to become all that he or she can be. We provide a loving, home-like environment with professional counseling to show teens how to get back on track. Though we are not located in Colorado , the North Carolina mountains are a beautiful setting for restoration and growth.
