In our family model, teenagers help with daily chores normal for home life and learn to respect authority and relate well with their peers.
For the teen, each day starts with small group counseling sessions covering anger management, respect for authority, and lots of other topics relevant to teens. Weekly individual sessions help residents make progress toward their therapeutic goals. Our program also includes a substance abuse program to deal with issues related to drug abuse or other addictive behaviors like eating disorders or cutting.
The Wolf Creek Accredited School Lets Students Achieve at Their Own Pace
Using our fully accredited Christian curriculum, students can fill in gaps in their education and work successfully at their very own rate. Teachers and assistants monitor progress through the classwork and help students who need extra input for their work. Credits transfer easily to public and private schools, and graduates earn a high school diploma. Our new skills development center teaches a skilled trade along with vital skills for a manufacturing environment including welding skills, shop safety, work ethic for first time employees, along with other disciplines.
To keep teens physically active we run daily PE classes including many different sports and seasonal outdoor adventure activities, including hiking (the Appalacian Trail is nearby) and skiing. Weekly social activities also vary and can include bowling, movies, church, visiting museums plus much more.
