We are a faith-based program devoted to integrity, character, and accountability. All of the teens who attend our program can become productive members of society when given guidance and a chance to reach their potential.
Wolf Creek Academy provides a protective home environment for teen boys and girls who lack direction. Residents live in a comfortable home run by a married couple team of houseparents and assistants. In this family model, teenagers assist with daily chores typical of home life and learn how to respect authority and relate well with their peers.
Keeping Parents Involved in the Program for Restoration for the Entire Family
Parent involvement is very important to the success of our therapeutic boarding school program. Parents stay up to date with weekly verbal and email reports and remain involved in progress of their child.
For the teen, each day begins with small group counseling sessions regarding anger management, respect for authority, and many other topics of importance to teens. Weekly individual sessions help residents make progress toward their counseling goals. Our program also includes a substance abuse program to deal with issues related to drug use or any other addictive behaviors for example eating disorders or cutting.
Accredited School Lets Students Achieve at Their Own Pace
With our fully accredited Christian curriculum, students can complete missing credits in their education and work successfully at their unique speed. Teachers and assistants monitor progress through the courses and help students who can use extra input for their work. Credits transfer easily to other schools, and those who complete the curriculum earn a high school diploma. Our new skills development center teaches a skilled trade along with vital skills for a manufacturing environment including welding skills, shop safety, work ethic for first time employees, and other disciplines.
To help keep teens physically active we run daily PE classes including various sports and seasonal outdoor adventure activities, including hiking (the Appalacian Trail is nearby) and skiing. Every week, social activities also vary and can include bowling, movies, church, visiting museums and much more.
