Wolf Creek Academy is a dual enrollment partner with Lighthouse Christian Academy(LCA) for accreditation purposes. LCA is accredited through the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools. Students use the A.C.E. Curriculum – the same as LCA. Upon exiting, the student will receive a transcript. If graduating from our program the student receives a final transcript and diploma. WCA/LCA credits are transferable to other schools and universities.
Special Note on Accreditation
Wolf Creek Academy is in the process of acquiring our own accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement – SACS-CASI – a division of AdvancEd. We hope to have our accreditation in place by spring 2014.
What is Accreditation?
Accreditation is a voluntary method of quality assurance developed more than 100 years ago by American universities and secondary schools, and designed primarily to distinguish schools adhering to a set of educational standards.
While accreditation is a set of rigorous protocols and research-based processes for evaluating an institution’s organizational effectiveness, it is far more than that. Today accreditation examines the whole institution—the programs, the cultural context, the community of stakeholders—to determine how well the parts work together to meet the needs of students.
Institutions achieving SACS-CASI accreditation demonstrate to the public their commitment to provide a quality educational experience. It is an education that prepares students for continued educational success beyond high school.
