Parent involvement is crucial to the success of our therapeutic boarding school program.
Parents stay up to date with weekly verbal and email reports and remain involved in progress of their teen.
For the teen, each morning starts off with small group counseling sessions regarding anger management, respect for authority, and a lot of other topics highly relevant to teens. Weekly individual sessions help teens make progress toward their counseling goals. We also have a risky activities program to manage issues related to drug use and other addictive behaviors such as eating disorders or cutting.
Our accredited school lets students succeed at their own pace.
In our fully accredited Christian curriculum, students can fill in gaps in their education and work successfully at their particular rate. Teachers and assistants monitor progress through the workbooks and help students who need extra assistance with their work. Credits transfer easily to public and private schools, and graduates earn a high school diploma. Our recently added skills development center offers a skilled trade along with vital skills for any manufacturing environment, including welding skills, shop safety, work ethic for new employees, and other disciplines.

There is speculation, according to local historians, that the name “Darby” is related to “Derby” derived from the English town of Derby, in the county of Derbyshire. One explanation states that the Darby Creek closely resembled the English River Derwent, the main body of water that flows through Derby. British immigrants named the town in the new world thus.
