Wolf Creek specializes in attachment disorders and other serious relational and self-destructive behavioral difficulties in boys and girls. Our staff is highly qualified and trained to deal with and treat various psychological disorders that many other boarding schools that call themselves “therapeutic” are not equipped to handle.
We are a faith-based program focused on integrity, character, and accountability. Each of the teens who attend our program can become productive members of society when given guidance and an opportunity to reach their potential.
Wolf Creek Academy sets up a protective home environment for teen boys and girls who have gone off course. Residents live in a comfortable home with a married couple team of houseparents and residential assistants. Within our family model, girls and boys assist with daily chores common to home life and learn to respect authority and relate well with their peers.
Parent involvement is important to the effectiveness of our therapeutic boarding school program.
Parents stay informed with weekly verbal and email reports and play a role in the progress of their child.
For the teen, each day commences with small group counseling sessions regarding anger management, respect for authority, and many other topics highly relevant to teens. Weekly individual sessions help teens make progress toward their therapeutic goals. In addition, we have a special therapy program to cope with issues related to drug and alcohol use and other addictive behaviors for example, eating disorders or cutting.
Our accredited school lets students succeed at their own pace.
In our fully accredited Christian curriculum, students can catch up in their education and work successfully at their very own pace. Teachers and assistants monitor progress through the material and help students who require extra input for their work. Credits transfer easily to other schools, and those who complete the curriculum earn a high school diploma. Our new skills development center offers a skilled trade along with vital skills for the manufacturing environment, including welding skills, shop safety, work ethic for first time employees, along with other disciplines.

More about therapeutic boarding schools near the state of South Carolina: Johns Island, also spelled John’s Island, is the largest island in the U.S. State of South Carolina. It is one of the many Sea Islands along the coast of the state. Originally a farming community, the island’s history dates back centuries as the site of several prominent plantations, producing much of the area’s rice, indigo, and cotton exports. While farming still exists today, the island has transformed into a wealthy suburb of Charleston, roughly 15 minutes from downtown. Despite the change, the island has maintained its rural character and heritage, and several restaurants and stores reflect the local culture and lowcountry flair. During the American Revolution and Civil War there were many skirmishes and battles on the island including the Battle at Rosebank Farms and the Battle of Bloody Bridge, also known as Burden’s Creek.
