Christian boarding schools

Found in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina, Wolf Creek Academy serves teenage girls and boys on different parts of its campus who have ongoing behavior difficulties, damaged family relationships, or any other emotional problems.

Wolf Creek specializes in attachment disorders and other serious relational and self-destructive behavioral difficulties in boys and girls.  Our staff is highly qualified and trained to deal with and treat various psychological disorders that many other boarding schools that call themselves “therapeutic” are not equipped to handle.

We are a faith-based program emphasizing integrity, character, and accountability. All of the teens who attend our program can learn to be productive individuals when given guidance and the opportunity to reach their potential.

Wolf Creek Academy offers a loving home environment for teen boys and girls who lack direction. Residents live in a comfortable home run by a married couple team of houseparents and residential assistants. Within our family model, teenagers assist with daily chores typical of home life and discover how to respect authority and get along with their peers.

Parents receive weekly verbal and email reports and remain involved in progress of their teen.

For the teen, every day starts off with small group counseling sessions related to anger management, respect for authority, and a lot of other topics highly relevant to teens. Weekly individual sessions help teens make progress toward their therapeutic goals. We also have a risky activities program to manage issues related to drug use or any other addictive behaviors like eating disorders or cutting.

Our accredited school lets students find success at their own pace.

Using our fully accredited Christian curriculum, students can complete missing credits in their education and work successfully at their unique pace. Teachers and assistants monitor progress through the courses and help students who require extra assistance with their work. Credits transfer easily to public and private schools, and graduates earn a high school diploma. Our recently added skills development center teaches a skilled trade as well as vital skills for the manufacturing environment, including welding skills, shop safety, work ethic for first time employees, along with other disciplines.
