Christian boarding schools

Situated in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina, Wolf Creek Academy serves teenage boys and girls on different parts of its campus who have a history of behavior difficulties, broken family relationships, and other emotional issues.

Wolf Creek specializes in attachment disorders and other serious relational and self-destructive behavioral difficulties in boys and girls.  Our staff is highly qualified and trained to deal with and treat various psychological disorders that many other boarding schools that call themselves “therapeutic” are not equipped to handle.

We are a faith-based program devoted to integrity, character, and accountability. Each of the teens who attend our program can be productive members of society when given guidance and the opportunity to reach their potential.

Wolf Creek Academy sets up a protective home environment for teen boys and girls who have gone off course. Residents live in a comfortable home run by a married couple team of houseparents and residential assistants. Inside our family model, girls and boys participate in daily chores common to home life and learn how to respect authority and relate well with their peers.

Parents stay up to date with weekly verbal and email reports and play a role in the progress of their teen.

For the teen, every day begins with small group counseling sessions covering anger management, respect for authority, and many other topics relevant to teens. Weekly individual sessions help teens make progress toward their behavioral goals. We also have a risky activities program to deal with issues related to drug abuse and other addictive behaviors such as eating disorders or cutting.

Our accredited school lets students succeed at their own pace.

Under our fully accredited Christian curriculum, students can catch up in their education and work successfully at their very own speed. Teachers and assistants monitor progress through the classwork and help students who need extra help with their work. Credits transfer easily to other schools, and graduates earn a high school diploma. Our new skills development center offers a skilled trade along with vital skills for the manufacturing environment, including welding skills, shop safety, work ethic for first time employees, and also other disciplines.
