All the teens who attend our program can learn to be productive individuals when given guidance and an opportunity to reach their potential.
Wolf Creek Academy provides a safe home environment for teen boys and girls who lack direction. Residents live in a comfortable home run by a married couple team of houseparents and assistants. Within our family model, teens assist with daily chores normal for home life and discover how to respect authority and relate well with their peers.
Keeping Parents Engaged with the Program for Restoration for the Whole Family
Parent involvement is crucial to the effectiveness of our therapeutic boarding school program. Parents receive weekly verbal and email reports and remain involved in progress of their boy or girl.
For the teen, each day starts with small group counseling sessions related to anger management, respect for authority, and a lot of other topics relevant to teens. Weekly individual sessions help residents make progress toward their behavioral goals. We also have a risky activities program to handle issues related to drug and alcohol use or other addictive behaviors like eating disorders or cutting.
Accredited School Lets Students Achieve at Their Own Pace
Using our fully accredited Christian curriculum, students can fill in gaps in their education and work successfully at their unique pace. Teachers and assistants monitor progress through the classwork and help students who require extra input for their work. Credits transfer easily to other schools, and graduates earn a high school diploma. Our recently added skills development center instructs students in a skilled trade along with vital skills for the manufacturing environment, including welding skills, shop safety, work ethic for new employees, along with other disciplines.
To keep teens physically active we conduct daily PE classes including a variety of sports and seasonal outdoor adventure activities, including hiking (the Appalachian Trail is nearby) and skiing.
