Troubled Teens and Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
Behavioral boarding schools are a safe and structured environment to help troubled teens. These schools offer a range of services to help teens struggling with a variety of issues, including ADHD.
Wolf Creek Academy is a therapeutic boarding school that provides a supportive and therapeutic environment to turn around teen behavior and give hope to the future by helping them overcome their challenges and reach their full potential. We specialize in helping teens with a range of emotional and behavioral issues, including ADHD. Our program is designed to provide a safe and nurturing environment for students to learn and grow, while also providing them with the support and guidance they need to overcome their challenges.
The staff at Wolf Creek Academy is made up of experienced professionals who are passionate about helping troubled teens. They work closely with each student to create an individualized treatment plan that addresses their unique needs and challenges. This plan may include a combination of therapy, medication management, and other interventions to help students manage their ADHD symptoms.
One of the unique features of Wolf Creek Academy is their focus on developing life skills. In addition to traditional academic classes, students participate in a variety of vocational and life skills training programs. These programs help students develop practical skills that they can use in the real world, such as cooking, cleaning, and basic home maintenance. By teaching these skills, Wolf Creek Academy is helping students prepare for life after graduation when they will need to be self-sufficient and independent.
Another important aspect of the program at Wolf Creek Academy is their focus on building positive relationships. Many teens with ADHD struggle with social skills and may have difficulty making and maintaining friendships. We help students develop healthy social skills, such as communication, conflict resolution, and empathy. By building positive relationships with their peers, students are better able to manage their ADHD symptoms and maintain a positive outlook on life.
Students also participate in a variety of therapeutic activities to help them manage their emotions and develop coping skills. The students work in three different facets: Adventure Therapy, Student Life, and Academics. However, the piece that weaves these things together is our CLIMB Program. In each phase of CLIMB (Choosing, Listening, Implementing, Maturing, Believing) the student has goals to meet in each facet.. Through these activities, students learn to express themselves in healthy ways and find constructive outlets for their emotions. Wolf Creek Academy is an excellent option for parents of troubled teens with ADHD. The school provides a safe and family-style place for students to learn and grow, while also providing them with the tools and resources they need to manage their symptoms and achieve their goals.
