At Wolf Creek Academy, we blend behavioral therapy, character development, and academic excellence to create a transformative foundation for a brighter future. Our compassionate and experienced team forges deep, supportive relationships with each student—ages 13 to 17—and their families, offering guidance every step of the way. Our hallmark approach, adventure therapy, combines hands-on outdoor challenges with emotional healing, helping students build confidence, resilience, and self-awareness in a safe, structured environment. Each young person receives personalized care tailored to their specific needs, while families benefit from continuous support and involvement, creating a unified path to healing.

therapeutic boarding schoolRooted in Christian values, Wolf Creek Academy’s mission is to inspire lasting change in the lives of struggling youth. We place a strong emphasis on integrity, accountability, and personal responsibility, nurturing strong moral character alongside academic success. Our inclusive program welcomes students from all backgrounds, races, and faiths, ensuring that every child has access to meaningful education and life-changing growth opportunities, regardless of where they come from.

What Therapies are Utilized at Wolf Creek Academy?

Our comprehensive therapeutic program integrates individual therapy, group counseling, and adventure-based experiential therapy. Individual therapy sessions delve into the root causes of behavioral and motivational challenges, providing personalized support. Group counseling addresses issues such as anger management, anxiety triggers, healthy self-expression, and leadership skills, fostering peer interaction and shared learning.

A distinctive feature of our program is our Adventure Therapy program, which includes Adventure Therapy.  It involves spending a lot of time outdoors, and structured outdoor activities like cooperative games, trust exercises, problem-solving initiatives, and wilderness expeditions. These activities are designed to promote rehabilitation, growth, and the enhancement of physical, social, and psychological well-being through direct experience. By confronting physical and emotional challenges in a safe environment, students develop resilience, self-confidence, and interpersonal skills, which are transferable to their daily lives.

therapyOur Basic Values

  • Active Involvement of Parents in the rehabilitation of youth programs based on results, not time.
  • Connection between parents, teens and program.
  • Home Visits to test the student’s readiness to return home.
  • Home Contract that identifies boundaries to assist in long-term success.

We do not believe that children have to be broken down….but we believe that they should be built up, loved, and nurtured with appropriate disciplinary measures of losing privileges and gaining rewards for good behaviors.
